Last week at the 2005 libsyn prom we celebrated hitting 2,000 users. We've ALL (podcasting especially) have come along way... and this is just the beginning.

Saturday, (if we wake up from the after prom party) will be special give-away day. Come see the boys and get an awesome prize if you are able to correctly guess (roughly) how many liberated synners there currently are running around the podcasting space. I'll give you a hint.. the libsyn prom is "class of ______".

Quietly, one night in November 2004, 4 old friends got together around a common idea. We got that computer from Weird Science, connected the electrodes to a Christian Slater doll, Marty put a bra on his head, Hoopes did some layup drills... we hit the enter key and.. well.. the rest is a foggy dream. Not that we've slept much since to have many dreams.

This year, we had some cupcakes to celebrate. Maybe next year we'll be drinking champagne. Perhaps we'll even have some this year, next week at the expo!

Come give us some love, or a punch in the face. Both are probably equally deserved. We love you all.

Add yourself to our libsynners frapper map! Then we'll drive soapy to your town and throw Pal gum at all the kids.

That's right, it's official. Come and see all your favorite team libsyn members at the Podcast Conference and Mobile Media Expo November 11th and 12th. We're super pumped. California... podcasters... what could be better. These east coast boys could use the sun- believe me. It's going to be great meeting all of you who've been through alot with us over the past year. Please don't hesitate to run up and give Hoopes a big ol' bear hug (he loves that shit!) Not sure where the after party is yet- but I heard Dave M was buying. It's going to be the hottest damn thing that state has ever seen. Don't lame out, come join the fun. Does anyone know Christian Slater? He needs to kick it at our booth.

We finished up a fruitful extended work weekend with a Libsyn RoadCast featuring Jonathan Cobb from Kiptronic. Jonathan gives us the inside scoop on his company and we talk about how Kiptronic and Libsyn aim to do podcasting right.

Ok everyone, not a lot of time to write. We've been trying to smoothly and seamlessly transfer our operation to better hardware over the past week or so.. but the iTunes push has caused us to make it happen tonight. We're going to continue to work hard to ensure everything stays up and running, but expect to experience some times or trouble this afternoon, evening, and hopefully everything will be back up by tomorrow morning.. we've worked through the night before.. in fact.. like every night it seems.. so please please.. everyone now more then ever we need your support and utmost patience with us and we made big moves.

What can you all do? Once we say go, we're going to open up a forum for everyone to blast out bugs with the new stuff. We'll line up up and knock up down and together we all will come out the other side on top.

Libsyn starts a podcast. Isn't that fancy? Inaugural podcast for the liberated syndication sound-off. The boys sit around in the Maryland heatwave talk about new stats, WWDC, and being back together (physically) for the first time in a long while. Dave M looks sharp in his button-down shirt, Hoopes gets drunk on Taurine, Marty does the work of 4 men, and Dave C gets over his fear of talking... out loud. Dirty raw, DIY podcasting.. but clean enough for work consumption.
